GREAT HALL REFURBISHMENT, UNIVERSITY OF TECHNOLOGY SYDNEY

KANNFINCH worked in collaboration with DRAW (De Manincor Russell Architecture Workshop) on the refurbishment of ‘The Great Hall’ and associated ‘Balcony Room’ at the University of Technology, Sydney. One of the key design elements is an articulated perforated metal ‘mantle’ that is suspended from existing ceiling and wall elements within The Great Hall. The ‘mantle’ is a striking graphic intervention that sets it apart as a dynamic, contemporary space.
